Bugfixin’ and Stats

Just a quick note to say that I fixed some bugs on the site, one of which being the screwy URLs in the file upload results page. Hopefully things run more smoothly now! And I wrote a little stats page too, so check that out here.  Oh, and if you click on the country stats on the right side, you can view the files from only the country you click on.  Kinda neat, anyway.

Site Updates!

Tonight I launched all of my changes for Stashbox.org and its backend. It was basically a total rewrite, but worth it we hope =) And later on we’re gonna launch a new version of Shup too =) I will write a full update soon, good night!

Chillax while we move to our new server!

We are having some minor issues while moving to the new server (ie upload failing during the thumbnailing process); while we hope to fix them soon, please check if your file was uploaded before re-submitting it.

Thanks! =)

Speed Issues Fixed!

Just wanted to let everyone (CHRIS TEAGUE, and Josh, and I) know that I fixed the loading problems with the site.  Apparently I am a bad programmer and longblobs are second-class citizens in MySQL-land (quip stolen from Josh, at least the second part; yes, I am really a bad programmer).  Anyway, things are moving smoothly again.

Meanwhile, Josh and I met today to discuss new ideas for shup; it went well.  We have some great ideas that are really going to clean up the interface, and we’re incorporating the shell extension functionality (including the Stashbox Secure feature) into shup.  This merging of applications will allow us to consolidate our efforts, as well as let everyone say “shup me!” for any occasion, be it screenshots or otherwise.

Finally, tonight is officially KMFDM-coding night!  We’ve run through Nihil, Symbols, and WWIII; next will be Attak I think.  So throw on a few of their records and get to work!

shup 0.05a released!

I have just uploaded the latest build of shup, the lovable Stashbox screenshot tool. This alpha release includes a brand-new preview window, featuring image editing tools and other options. In addition to this new shup release, I have also written a readme / manual and given shup its own page.

A few other minor site updates were rolled out as well. For example, the main site now has a “Popular Files” list, which contains a list of the most popular files uploaded in the past week. And the Stashbox shell extension has its own page as well.
Enjoy!

P.S. - Download shup 0.05a here.

woohoo!

tonight i updated the site with some bug fixes and new features!

the main part of the update is the new text viewer. Check out a sample here. Yes, it shows line numbers and syntax highlights numerous filetypes (C/C++/PHP/HTML/etc). And yes, it is awesome.

you can also now edit the filename when using the text pasting storage function of stashbox. oh, and i added a “Browse” link to the menu at the top of the site; it should now be more easy to browse the entire public file repository.

guess that’s it for now.
